Summer Checklist: Rising Sophomores
- Continue taking courses that are challenging to you. If your school offers AP courses, consider taking some.
- Look around your community for internships that are eligible for high schoolers. Similarly, any camps or summer programs that are related to your interests would be great way to expand your education.
- If money is tight and a summer program doesn’t seem possible, don’t worry, they aren’t that big of a deal! Getting some sort of a job shows that you are responsible. And also remember that there are free summer programs.
- If you haven’t already started any volunteering activities, you should try to start now. There is still time until you have to start seriously thinking about college, but again, consistency with your activities is important.
