# 65 COLLEGES WITH GUARANTEED MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS

The uncertainty of scholarships and financial aid can make the college process even more nerve-wracking than it already is. Luckily, there are 65 colleges and universities across the country that will guarantee you an automatic scholarship if you meet certain eligibility criteria. These schools range from well-known public universities to small, rural, religious colleges.

While most colleges use subjective scholarship committees to decide who gets which merit award, the colleges listed below guarantee that every applicant who meets the stated criteria will be awarded the stated dollar amount. These guaranteed scholarships are not the only scholarships the colleges offer. Many offer much larger merit scholarships in addition to those listed here, but they often require an extra application or participation in a competition. Finally, remember to consider each college’s cost of attendance (COA) when looking at scholarship options. A $5,000/yr scholarship at school with a COA of $20,000/yr is a much better deal financially then a $15,000/yr scholarship at a school with a COA of $55,000/yr.
